[CUBE PAPER] Korean Startups, First Networking Day in Norway

Small venture companies and Moon Jae-in, the president visited the three Nordic countries that held a 'Norway-South Korea and networking day' in Oslo, Norway, on the 12th at Oslo Science Park.
The event was jointly organized by South Korea's ASEM Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC) and Norway.
Norway was held to strengthen cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises of the two countries in the traditionally strong shipbuilding, marine, and renewable energy sectors, while expanding cooperation in the startup sector that has recently been developing. Park Young-sun, minister of small and medium-sized venture businesses, attended the meeting to encourage participants.

Overseas Trends Governments around the world are very interested in applying blockchain to public and government systems. Many countries are currently working on mid- and long-term plans and legislation to boost blockchain industries and establish a national system based on blockchain technology. According to a survey by the IBM Value Institute, 90 percent of the world's top government officials said they would invest in blockchain for finance, asset management, contracts and regulatory implementation. 70 percent of the respondents said blockchain would be effective in reducing the cost, time and risk of implementing regulations. Respondents also believe that blockchain will help improve information accuracy, ease regulations that undermine business efficiency, break down bureaucratic inertia and respond appropriately to environmental changes.
